Post anything you want the league to look into in the off-season
General Coverage for future years Total coverage traded for future years RFA vs FA bidding at different times Franchise tag amount
From Cyclones
1. Must have active roster. All active spots must be filled with Current MLB players. That means minor league players or MLB guys on the DL are not allowed to be in your starting lineup.
2. Update MLB draft rules. Which players are eligible for the draft, which have to go into free agency.

Should we allow international players to be signed throughout the season or should we group them in with college players and teams have to wait until the off-season draft to pickup those players?

I think we should keep it the same as in real life which is sign them as free agents when they sign a RL MLB contract

I think we should keep it the same as in real life which is sign them as free agents when they sign a RL MLB contract Only problem with that is we have a salary cap that real mlb teams don't have to deal with. I know 100k isn't a lot to spend but some of these Cuban guys or the next Yu Darvish could go pretty high which takes a lot of the teams out of the picture for them.

Then I think those teams should plan for that, they have a whole year till the next batch comes, plus there are ways to clear cap just like for any other free agent.

Not sure if anything has been done about this, but what happens if there is a tie in the playoffs?

I thought we posted something last year but I looked quickly and didnt find it. If we dont have anything then we will fix it before playoffs start.

I personally would like to see the playoff format adjusted somewhat to have true wild cards in the playoffs as opposed to the top 3 teams in each division make it.
One of the reasons for it is because it is possible under the current format that the 5th worst team (10th best) in a 14 team league can make the playoffs over the 4th best team which to me seems to be wrong. This scenario isn't that far from happening this season.
I personally would like to see the 2 division winners and the top 4 teams record wise regardless of division make the playoffs.
Even a compromise that's better than the current format would be to have the top 2 teams in each division make the playoffs along with the next 2 teams with the best record regardless of division.

Looking at giving 2 max tags to each team...they can be either 2 RFA or 1 franchise and 1 RFA....just ideas

You never answered why you were wanting to change the FA tags?

Didn't know it was asked....just seems like 3 tags is a bit much

Kinda got this idea from screamin's league and real life baseball. Should we look at only allowing players 3 options per year and if they get sent down they have to stay down for 10 days. So unless the player is injured, it takes an option to demote him and he has to stay down for 10 days like they do in real life. Might be harder for us to track but just an idea.

Expanding the roster size to 28 or 30 so teams can have enough space to field a legal roster just in case players get sent down to minors which is what has caused a lot of our issues this year

Idk if this is the league rule but looking at Fantrax it says standing ties breakers is head to head first then rotisserie point ? And third is division record .... I just think this is a head to head league division record should come before roto points . JMO Now I know we re talking about changing the playoff system but in our current one which 3 in each division go it seems division record seems appropriate !

Aright ? So still think we should look at that in off season ! Idk maybe it's just me but head to head think records should be first and total fantasy point the last tie breaker ... That's if we stay in the current system if we change where we take unequal amount of teams from each division I see this being the best way since divisions wouldn't be the same

Well I have a strong inclination that we will be switching the playoff format. It will more than likely be switched to 2 top teams from each division and then the last 2 teams will be the 2 teams with the best record regardless of division.

Minor league player with contract passes threshold but manager does not want to keep said player...there is no current rule right now on this besides the general buyout rule

What other rule could there be besides he's bought out?

Want to look at making the regular season 1 game shorter and making the championship matchup 2 weeks long...just don't want someone to get caught losing b/c the other team had half their staff pitch twice in one week...want the matchup based off the teams not when pitchers throw

I would agree mostly because this year alot of mine and I believe BAB s guys didn't play that last week for various reasons

I think we should just take off one regular season matchup and end the league one week early.
