Trades can involve players, prospects, and draft picks. They can not involve cash to increase your salary cap permanently. However, a GM can cover a part of the contract of the player being traded or include general coverage for the current season.
Coverage would be limited on a per contract basis. A team can cover 100% of this years salary on the player. The remaining year coverage limits are as follows:
Year 2: 75%
Year 3: 50%
Year 4: 30%
Years 5 and after: 20%
Teams will be allowed to trade no more than 10M in the future years. For the season that we are currently in, there is no limit. The limit for the future is a net effect. For example, team A has given 12M of future coverage but they have received 5M of future coverage. This would net out to be total given coverage of 7M.
Do not use the Trading Block forum to propose trades. That should be done through email, IM, etc.
If a trade has occured and that GM resigns or is replaced, then the trade will be put on hold until the new GM has time to look over the trade and accept or reject that trade.
The trade is final and can not be changed or reversed after both teams accept on fantrax and proboards. If one of the teams involved in the trade does not post the necessary moves in order to get his/her team legal after the trade, they will be given notice that their team will be illegal after the trade and we will follow the rules for illegal rosters. The trade will not be processed until all teams are legal after the trade.
