This has to deal with the rosters when we draft our teams. There are 2 options that we have.
Option 1: Use the rosters at the end of the MLB season. This would not make us wait till FA is pretty much over. The draft could start as soon as we get everything ready to go. For players that are FA this year, you would get them at a one year contract at a salary that they were paid last year. There would be more rules and details to these players that I would lay out if this option is chosen.
Option 2: Wait till MLB FA is about done (major players have signed) and then do the draft then.

Looks like we will be drafting ASAP...meaning after all the rules are set. I will work on how we are going to deal with players such as Pujols, Fielder, etc....if you guys have ideas...throw them out there...always helpful!

I like the idea of getting them for 1 year at last year's salary. Also, I think they should be included with their previous year team's roster during the draft. For example, whoever drafts the Cardinals gets Pujols. If any FA gets signed before our draft, they would obviously be included with their new team at their new contract.
