Post season is a new start....my opinion is that the regular season should not affect your matchup....how your team performs in that week is how it should be decided

I think it should be like narrow down categories to runs avg and era and see who wins that way

I actually think it should be the team that uses the fewest AB and IP. The thinking there is they did more with less.

Very interesting....I am just totally against what happened 20 weeks ago affect a playoff matchup. It is a new season, new beginning...slates are wiped clean. Think how your team performs in the playoffs should say whether you advance or not. Not what happened 4 months ago.

I agree with that as well that the slate should be wiped clean.
To clarify, I meant the team that uses the fewest AB and IP during their playoff matchup should win the tiebreaker.

How does the H2H tie breaker work? I beat Team 10-3, he beat me 10.5-2.5. Does he win the tie breaker or is it considered a split. Me and Bay Area tied 6.5-6.5 in our only match up. I checked out the different sites(CBS,ESPN, Yahoo) to see how they handle tie breakers in their H2H playoffs. All of them use the highest seed wins. Guess they figure if you dominate in the regular season, you should win the tie.

I don't really agree with that just because what if you lose every pitching category ! You didn't do shit with your IP ! Or you only win a couple and get blown out in the rest.. Which has happened in a lot of match ups this year ... I'm alright with limiting the categories to a few but which ones would be difficult because some teams are built to win specific categories ... I voted head to head because it s a head to head league and if it s that close as to tie might as well go with what the league is based off !

I foggit to explain about the categories I do not believe that would be fair as it was not previously set up so I would have a legit beef if the categories picked now favored one team or another ! If we set them up for next season I would be alright with that ! I know I hold the head to head in my first match up but I m saying head to head because it s the only established tie breaker we have in this league already it may be for standings but it needs to be applied to playoffs for this year due to being previously established so there is no fairness issues !

I think that whatever wins the poll should be the first tiebreaker, whatever finishes second should be the second tiebreaker, etc.

The way I was talking about with KC...is that we would pick 3 categories to use...and then whoever was best in those would win the tiebreaker.
And team..if we used BA and ERA..well you can't really build a team for that. It is just based off how your team performed that week. We wouldn't use a stat like SB or K b/c that is dependent on how you set your team up.
So my idea was to use BA, ERA, and _______. The last category would be something that the league thought was the most fair stat to use.
Springdale...I am against using anything to do with the regular season b/c the teams are already rewarded by having a good regular season. They are in the playoffs....I think your team should win or lose based off how your team performed in your playoff matchup only.

So if you are against using anything to do with the regular season why do five of the voting options pertain to in-season performance?

Well I already explained this on the board but I do not play all my pitchers that I do to get a low era ! Which is obvious lol
