People have brought up the issue that teams should be allowed to bid on players and post their buyout of how they will create cap space after they won said player. Here are the options. This will go into effect as soon as the poll is voted upon. Teams will have one week to make their vote. If they do not vote, they will have a penalty of cap of 1M.
Option 1 - Allow teams to overbid cap. We have rules in place if this happens already. Here is what they are: If you bid on a player, win that player and are unable to afford that player, the punishment is as follows:
1) you will buyout that player as if they have a 1 year contract 2) you will lose a draft pick as such: 0-5M AAS = 3rd round, 5-10 AAS = 2nd round, 10+ AAS = 1st round 3) if you do not have the pick that would be required to be given up, we will look at the players drafted around that area and take a similar prospect from you 4) you will pay 10% of the AAS in the next season (not upcoming one
Option 2 - Teams must make buyout before bid. If they do have have the cap space required, bid will be void.
