Starting in 2017, teams can not add any players to use during the current scoring period unless there is an injury where that the player goes to the DL. You could bid on a player but they would not be available for use until the next scoring period, if your team advances.
The roster you have as of 8am central time Monday of the scoring period would be your team for that scoring period. This would be a 26 man MLB roster so you could not have 10 SP in your minors and waive/call-up either.
You can set your 26 man roster without waiving/calling up players. Example: I have Yan Gomes in my minors and Wilson Ramos as my starting C - due to whatever reason, I want to play Yan Gomes this week - I will move Gomes to C and Ramos to minors for the 1 week playoff matchup. You will not need to post in waivers/call ups these moves. If you use a player without a MLB contract, you will need to assign them MLB contract. Your roster for the following season will be shown as how it was on the last day of the regular season. This will avoid any teams moving players to minors without waiving them.
* Clarify DL Rules during post season *
As of 09/06/2023, Turtles and Cyclones have decided if a player comes off the DL after the roster deadline, you will have to wait until next period to add player to active roster.
